This website is run by Wine Consortium LLC, operating as Soil Wine Company. This policy explains what we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email tim@soilwineco.com.
What we collect
Newsletter: your email address, and your first name if you share it.
Soil Society waitlist: your name, your email address, and the track that interests you.
Private-event inquiry: your name, your email address, and the type of event. You can also share a phone number, a date, a guest count, and notes. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your notes.
Technical information: when you visit this site or send a form, our hosting and form providers may automatically process information such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit.
How we use it
Newsletter and waitlist sign-ups: you may receive general Soil marketing emails about wines, tastings, events, memberships, and special offers. How often we email can vary, and our marketing emails include a way to unsubscribe. Joining the waitlist includes these marketing emails.
Waitlist sign-ups: we also use your information to tell you about The Soil Society, invite you when it opens, and send messages about your membership if you join.
Event inquiries: we use your information to reply to you and to plan your event if you go ahead with us. We don't automatically add you to our marketing lists because you sent an inquiry.
We don't sell customer contact information or share it for unrelated third-party marketing.

Your choices
To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe option in the email, or email tim@soilwineco.com and ask us to stop.
Unsubscribing stops marketing emails. We may still reply to your inquiry or send necessary messages about an event or membership you've arranged with us.
Seeing or deleting your information
To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, email tim@soilwineco.com. One of our owners handles these requests personally and checks our records in Formspree, Toast, and our business email. We may take reasonable steps to confirm the request came from you.
We can't promise that everything can always be deleted immediately. Some information may stay in a provider's systems for a time, and we may need to keep some records for legitimate business or legal reasons.
How long we keep it
We haven't set a fixed retention period. We keep information for as long as we reasonably need it for the reason you gave it to us, such as while you're subscribed, while the waitlist is open, or while we're planning your event and keeping records of it, subject to legitimate business and legal requirements. Our providers also have their own storage practices.
Age
Our alcohol-related marketing is intended for adults 21 and older. Please don't sign up for it if you're under 21.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we'll post the new version here and change the effective date.
